cork grease
€1.50*
Cork grease is used on recorders to lubricate the connection between the individual parts of the recorder (the so-called tenon joints).
Here are some reasons why cork grease is important:
Making it easier to put together and take apartCork grease ensures that the individual parts of the recorder can be put together and taken apart more easily. This prevents the joints from being damaged or worn.
Protection against moisture and wood sourcesEspecially with wooden flutes, moisture can cause the wood to swell and make the joints more difficult to handle. The grease acts as a barrier against moisture and protects the wood.
Prevent cracks and breakagesIf the tenon joints are too dry, this can lead to cracks or breakages occurring when they are put together or taken apart. Regular greasing prevents such damage.
Longer life of the recorder Overall, the use of cork grease contributes to the care and maintenance of the recorder, which extends its life and maintains its playability.
Maintaining the tightness of the jointsWell-lubricated joints ensure that the parts fit together tightly and that no air escapes, which is important for the sound and intonation of the recorder.
Regular maintenance of the tenon joints with special cork grease is therefore essential to keep the recorder in good condition and maintain its functionality.
Using the cork grease
Apply a thin layer of grease to the cork whenever it is difficult to put the recorder parts together or the cork makes "cracking" noises.

FEHR instrument certificate
€49.00*
The FEHR instrument certificate confirms the materials from which your FEHR recorder was made and - if available from the company archives - where these materials were sourced.
To do this, we need the serial number stamped into the instrument.
The certificate covers the following areas:
Materials: the certificate will state the materials used, such as the wood (e.g. maple, pearwood, rosewood) and / or other materials used.
Place of manufacture: The place where the recorder was produced is indicated.
Manufacturer information: Information about the manufacturer who made the recorder is crucial. Information is given on the model series and the condition of the instrument.
Dating: If possible, the exact date of sale to the first customer is determined from the company archives using the serial number and model series.
The FEHR instrument certificate can help you to prove the value and authenticity of your instrument. In some countries, certificates of origin may also be required under species protection regulations to ensure the legal trade in materials from endangered species.
