Special features of the model series "S", like Stanesby
Model S is based on the alto (treble) recorder by Stanesby senior, which belongs to the collection of Frans Brüggen. Pioneering recordings and concerts have been played on this instrument to this day. However, Model S is not a copy in the strictest sense, but a model design based on the special features of the baroque inner bores of the instruments from the Stanesby workshop.
High-quality materials
The F alto (treble) recorder 3S3BB415 is made from European boxwood, which gives the instrument an outstandingly clear and powerful sound.
The oils used for the inner bore and parts of the outer surfaces are free from additives and, where available, are of pharmaceutical purity.
The clear and warm FEHR sound
The typical FEHR sound is achieved through special craftsmanship techniques that go back to the founder Hans Conrad Fehr and have been refined and improved by the instrument makers in the FEHR workshop over the decades.
Ergonomic design
It is often the little things that decide whether a recorder is comfortable to play or not. In addition to the position and size of the tone holes, it is the diameter and shape of the foot joint that make it easier for the little finger of the right hand to reach the lowest tone holes.
In close cooperation with leading recorder players, the shapes have been continuously optimised to ensure comfort and ease of use.
This is particularly advantageous for longer practice phases or before major performances. Overloading of the hands and fingers is thus avoided.
