Special features of model series IV
Model IV goes a few steps further than the model series below it in the design and processing of the windway and labium. The Model IV instruments make it even easier for you to find and develop your own personal sound.
The finely drawn grains of the different types of wood lend the finely turned outer shape a very special elegance.
Model IV shines both in an ensemble and as a solo instrument.
High-quality materials
The sopranino recorder 142PF is made from plum wood, which gives the instrument a warm, full and rich sound.
The oils used for the inner bore and parts of the outer surfaces are free from additives and, where available, are of pharmaceutical purity.
The clear and warm FEHR sound
The typical FEHR sound is achieved through special craftsmanship techniques that go back to the founder Hans Conrad Fehr and have been refined and improved by the instrument makers in the FEHR workshop over the decades.
Ergonomic design
It is often the little things that decide whether a recorder is comfortable to play or not. In addition to the position and size of the tone holes, it is the diameter and shape of the foot joint that make it easier for the little finger of the right hand to reach the lowest tone holes.
In close cooperation with leading recorder players, the shapes have been continuously optimised to ensure comfort and ease of use.
This is particularly advantageous for longer practice phases or before major performances. Overloading of the hands and fingers is thus avoided.
