The city is a wonderful place. The beer from the Carolus Brewery makes even sworn wine drinkers switch camps - at least occasionally.
The participants of what we call Belgium's top festival impress with their composure and friendliness, which always attracts us and makes us forget that mountains of crates in Fulda have to be carefully packed before the event, and in Mechelen they have to be attractively decorated.
But the venue, the old alto of the Scheppersinstituut, also exudes a unique charm that is second to none.
You can tell from Tom's many years of touring with the Flanders Recorder Quartet that he knows how to make the travelling folk happy. Often it's just the little things that make life a lot easier. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you once again for the exhibitor car parks. This made setting up much easier.
We will be back again next year when it says "Welcome to the Blokfluitendagen Mechelen 2019".
